Alabama SWAP Logo

For this project, I along ten other students submitted logo designs for the Alabama State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) to be implemented in the renewed plan proposal for 2025-2035. The state requested that the redesign be more inclusive to all wildlife as the current logo doesn’t properly represent their program. My logo was a collaborative effort with one other student and implements every group of animals covered in the SWAP. It was ultimately chosen to be used in the updated documents.
I chose to make the animals interact with the letterforms as it created more interest and alluded to the idea that these animals are literally a part of Alabama. Due to the busy nature of this logo, I made two versions of it: one for large format and one for small format. This new logo acts as a more inclusive visual identity for the Alabama SWAP.
