This was a poster proposal that was inspired by early jazz albums and designed with the intent of being translated across multiple formats. Many of those early jazz albums used paper cutouts to capture the abstract nature of the music. It felt appropriate to adopt that same style to promote one of the oldest jazz festivals in the United States.
